Meet Sweetie Pie

Sweetie Pie spent almost her entire life doing the hard work of giving birth to and raising foals. However, when her entire family relocated from Kentucky to Colorado, she decided it was finally time to "kick the kids out" and focus entirely on herself. She began confidently asserting her own needs, stepping out of the background to discover her own vibrant personality.

Sweetie Pie is having the absolute time of her life in retirement, relishing her newfound freedom from motherhood. She spends her days happily socializing with other senior donkeys who share her relaxed pace of life. She has developed a wonderful sense of confidence, delighting in using her loud, expressive voice to make her daily demands and desires clearly known to the staff.
