Meet Sheba

Sheba is a lovely mature standard jennet with a resilient spirit and a remarkable journey. Originally born free and feral on U.S. public lands, she faced a long road before being rescued from a kill-pen by Longhopes in 2009 alongside her daughter, Paris. Shortly after her adoption, Sheba surprised everyone by giving birth to a foal name Lucy, demonstrating her enduring gentle strength through every twist and turn of her life.

Now returning to Longhopes 17 years later after her companions have passed, Sheba is safe, healthy, and reacclimatizing to the sanctuary that first gave her a second chance. While she waits to see if a new forever home comes along, she is enjoying a peaceful, safe landing surrounded by care and comfort.
