Meet JenJen

JenJen is a fierce, unstoppable force of nature who proves that donkeys must have far more than seven lives. Over the years, she has pushed through severe obesity, Cushing’s disease, and critical hoof problems that easily could have taken her life. Instead of giving up, JenJen chose to fight through the pain in anticipation of brighter days ahead—a determination that saved her life.

Now displaying a stabilized health she is strong, and highly independent.  JenJen commands immense respect from everyone at Longhopes. She spends her retirement enjoying the freedom and autonomy she fought so hard to keep, roaming the pastures exactly as she pleases. Her resilience is celebrated daily, and she takes great pleasure in living life completely on her own terms in a place where she is truly safe.
