Meet Jake

For Jake, life at Longhopes is a beautiful family affair, having arrived at the sanctuary alongside his mother and his sister, Madison. He is exceptionally loyal to his family, usually presenting himself as the picture-perfect image of a mature, respectful, and well-behaved son. However, because he ate a bit too much rich grass in his younger years, he occasionally deals with painful hoof abscesses.

When those pesky hoof issues flare up, Jake gladly drops his mature act and reverts to a whinny, dramatic juvenile who craves immediate attention and sympathy. He thoroughly enjoys the extra pampering and specialized medical care he receives from the Longhopes staff during these times. The rest of the days, he is content grazing happily alongside Madison, soaking up the security of keeping his family close.
