Meet Murphy

When Murphy first arrived at Longhopes as a five-year-old, he was a small standard donkey absolutely bursting with spit and vinegar. His sharp mind and energetic personality made him the perfect star for the sanctuary's national "Matching Wits" donkey training video series. After many years away, his training served him well until he needed to return home under Longhopes' lifetime safety net promise.

Murphy is overjoyed to be back where his journey started, eagerly showing off how much he has matured into an affectionate, loving gentleman despite now having severe cataracts. He absolutely loves being right in the middle of the action and has quickly gathered a wonderful circle of herd friends, including Barkley and Beckett. He is deeply enjoying his days basking in human praise and participating in every barnyard activity.
