Meet Milo

Milo is a brilliant, gentle, and impeccably trained donkey who wouldn't dream of hurting a fly. He deals with skin cancer due to a lack of protective pigmentation around his eyes, but this diagnosis doesn't make him a single bit less perfect. He is deeply loyal and acts as a constant, guiding helper to his brother Otis, who is blind in one eye.

Milo is thriving at Longhopes, where his nurturing spirit has plenty of room to shine. Even while maintaining his dedicated care for Otis, Milo always finds time to welcome and comfort new arrivals as they recover from trauma and neglect. He seems to derive immense satisfaction from his role as a sanctuary ambassador, spreading comfort and kindness to everyone he meets.
