Meet Boyd

Boyd is a small, striking black standard donkey whose physical scars tell the story of a difficult past; his tail was tragically broken off during a roping event before his rescue. He has faced more than his fair share of bad luck over the years, losing two wonderful adoptive homes due to severe human illness. Because of this, Longhopes has committed to being his final, permanent haven.

Now settled into sanctuary life for good, Boyd can finally relax knowing that he will never have to face another move. He is quietly enjoying his days in a safe, predictable routine where his physical and emotional scars are met with deep understanding. Surrounded by peaceful pastures and compassionate caretakers, Boyd is living out his golden years with the dignity and stability he has earned.
