Sassy and Ariel
(mother and jennet foal)
You've come a long way baby!!!!

In March 2008  Sassy was a 4 year old standard jennet struggling to stay alive after her owner failed to feed or take care of her  hooves.  She was thin, bald and lame from overgrown hooves.

But with Longhopes' help, Sassy survived, recovered and on April 22, 2008  gave birth to a healthy full-term sorrel  jennet foal.

These two RED-HEADED jennets are full of personality.  Ariel is a sweet  (ok a little spoiled) jennet.  She has had tons of handling and loves attention.

Sassy is finally feeling safe and ready for her own attention now that Ariel is becoming more independent.

Don't think of separating these jennets.  This bond will last forever.  So plan on loving them both.
