Michelle

This small, yearling, medium brown standard jennet has everything going for her since her rescue by Longhopes in June 2008. 

This donkey was one of several young donkeys whose owner sold them all for slaughter and left them in a filthy feed lot to wait for the long trip to a Mexican slaughterhouse.

Michelle is currently about 38 inches tall and weighs just under 200 pounds.  She has a lot of growing and growing up to do.  During that time you can mold her into whatever you want.

Michelle is a quick learner.  She has already figured out how to stand to have her hooves trimmed.  Now she is getting some additional lessons on haltering, leading and loading. 

Michelle would love to be adopted with another yearling at Longhopes like Cricket Sahara, Fergie or Logan.
